Connect your assistant

This guide shows you how to connect an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT to your finances in guito, so you can ask about your data from the assistant you already use.

Available on the Plus plan and during the 14-day Plus trial. When the trial ends without a subscription, the connector stops reading your data even if it’s already set up in your client: the assistant tells you that Plus is needed, and it works again once you subscribe, with nothing to set up again. Open connectors

In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.

Add a custom connector

Click +, then Add custom connector.

Paste the URL

Paste the connection URL (https://guito.app/api/mcp) and confirm.

A browser window opens. Sign in to guito and authorise access over OAuth.

Enable it in a chat

In a conversation, click + (lower left), choose Connectors, and turn on guito.

Available on the Claude Free (one connector), Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans.

Enable developer mode

In ChatGPT, open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode. Availability depends on your account and workspace policy.

Create the connector

Open ChatGPT Plugins and select + to add a personal plugin.

Enter a name and URL

Enter a name and description, paste the connection URL (https://guito.app/api/mcp), and choose OAuth authentication.

Confirm and authorise

Confirm the notice, sign in to guito, and authorise access.

Install and use guito

Find guito in your personal plugins and install it. Start a new Work chat, type @, and select guito.

Your assistant controls approval requests. Review its write permissions before recording or changing information in guito.

Works with Cursor and with MCP-compatible clients whose sign-in finishes at a web address or on your own computer, such as Claude Code and VS Code.In Claude Code, add the server with a single line:

In Cursor, VS Code and other editors, add the server to your client’s MCP configuration file (mcp.json):

The Gemini app does not yet support adding custom MCP connectors.

Check that it worked

Ask the assistant, for example, “What is my net worth?” If it answers with your figures, the connection is working.
