# AI assistant

> Chat with guito's AI assistant to ask about your finances.

Use guito's AI assistant to query and analyse your finances in natural language, without navigating through menus.

  The assistant is available on the Plus plan and during the 14-day Plus [trial](/en/account/free-trial). On the Free plan, the chat shows the options to subscribe or start the trial. Your earlier conversations stay saved and are available again once you subscribe.

## Open the assistant

The chat is available from any page in the app, except inside a calculator.

    On a narrow screen, click the chat button in the bottom-right corner; on a wide one, click the chat icon in the top toolbar.

    Type your question or request in natural language.

    The assistant replies based on your data and, when helpful, points you to the right feature in the app. Your transactions, balances and other lists from your data appear in a card, with the figures exactly as they are in guito, and the assistant comments on what stands out.

  Use the ⌘J (or Ctrl J) shortcut to open the chat quickly.

  You can also ask from search: press ⌘K (or Ctrl K), type your question and press ⌘↵ (or Ctrl ↵). The answer appears right in the bar, and you can carry on in the chat.

## What the assistant can do

<Note>
  Plus includes 150 AI credits per month, shared by the assistant and credit-contract and energy-invoice reading. The 14-day trial includes 75 credits in total, without a reset when the calendar month changes. A simple question uses fewer credits than an analysis that checks several sources; longer conversations and larger documents use more.

  When you use up the allowance included in Plus, chat and document reading become unavailable until the allowance renews. If you use up the trial allowance, you can subscribe to Plus to continue. Automatic categorisation and bank-statement, brokerage-file and certificate imports remain available. When the AI allowance is exhausted, brokerage imports stop searching online for unrecognised products; you can choose them during review.

If you send many messages in a row, the assistant asks you to wait a moment before continuing. A very long message isn't sent: shorten it. A very long conversation also stops accepting messages: start a new conversation.

* **Query data**: net worth, holdings, transactions, and balances.
* **Financial analysis**: spending, income, performance, and concentration.
* **Take actions**: record transactions and investment trades, edit a transaction, create accounts, goals, credits, assets, and recurring items, and allocate to goals, always with your confirmation before saving.
* **Navigation**: how to use features in the app.
* **Feedback**: report problems or suggest improvements.

* "How much is my portfolio worth?"
* "Where do I spend the most money?"
* "How much did I earn and spend this month?"
* "How do I add a bank account?"

## Saved conversations

Conversations are saved and you can resume them later.

## Copy or edit a question

In the mobile app, press and hold one of your questions to copy or edit it. When you edit a question, the assistant answers it again and the messages that came after it are replaced by the new answer.

## About you

The assistant doesn't keep anything on its own. For it to know something about you in every conversation, write it in the **About you** field: your work, your goals, how you like answers (for example, "I prefer short answers with tables").

* On a computer, open **Settings**, on the **General** tab.
* In the mobile app, open **Settings → Personal info**.

The assistant reads this text with every message but never changes it: only you can. The text doesn't override the app's settings either. Amounts show in each account's own currency (totals in euros), the name we greet you by is set in the same place, and your emergency fund and savings targets are set on the goals themselves.

If you ask the assistant to remember something, it points you to the **About you** field.
